Teen counselling Sydney
A confidential place to speak freely, understand difficult feelings and navigate the changes of adolescence in French or English.
Adolescence can bring rapid changes in the body, relationships, identity and expectations. Counselling offers time to understand what feels overwhelming.
Worry, sadness, withdrawal, loss of confidence, sleep difficulties or feeling unable to cope.
Academic pressure, friendship problems, bullying, isolation or difficulty finding a place.
Questions about identity, sexuality, the body, migration, belonging and becoming more independent.
Conflict at home, parental separation, difficulty communicating or feeling misunderstood.
The adolescent has a confidential space. Parents are involved in a way that respects age, safety and the young person’s need for trust. Confidentiality has limits when there is a serious safety concern, which is explained clearly.
The format is adapted to the situation. A first conversation may include the parents and adolescent together, followed by time with the young person alone. We agree on a workable framework rather than applying one format to every family.
